Long time ago, years and years, I abruptly left fandom (and the internet in general) and focused all that time and energy on real life, which was sorely lacking at the time. And I doubt I'll ever "come back" per se - I can't see myself ever having the time or interest again to really participate - but I could use a break from real life, from time to time, to maybe read and comment on the occasional fic. Perhaps check in on old friends and acquaintances.

Unfortunately, memory has dimmed after 7-8 years (and it was never good to begin with), so I don't necessarily remember my history with everyone, and many journals' names seem to have changed - so please try not to be offended if I don't recall the details of our interactions, or don't recognize you at first. Just wack me upside the head and remind me. And do say hello if inclined!

ETA: This journal used to be flocked, and this was the friending post, but not much point to that these days!

completely locked down

This journal was already half flocked, but I've now used the mass security tool to lock down all public entries. I've decided to leave a few recommendation pages up, however, and will probably eventually skim back through the journal and unlock a few other things.

What happened? A parent found this. *facepalm*

Family member in question, as you're nosy and more curious than my cat, I don't trust you to stay away, so now I've got to privatize the journal so that it's no longer viewable to the public.

Everybody else, feel free to point and laugh at my anguish :p

ETA: To family member in question. Something just occurred to me. I do track where the hits on this journal come from, so if you're visiting it, I will know. You can't do it on the sly, so no use trying to be sneaky *wink, wink*

Aragorn/Legolas Rec List O' Doom

I love my flist, la, la, la. And I hope you spend many happy hours enjoying these recs :)

As you’ll see, the recs aren’t just fanfiction. And if you enjoy these talented people’s works, please take an extra minute and let them know! Feedback is the reward that nurtures these folks. And even if you're sending FB years after an author has written their fic, it still makes *such* a difference - it's so wonderful to know that there's still somebody reading and caring for your fic. And I have *even* known a few authors and artisans - long since retired from the A/L pairing - who came back to A/L with a little prompting ;) Oh, and if you do happen to leave any love letters, it’d be sweet if you told them who sent ya *winks* Oh, btw, I have good intentions of updating this on occassion *g*
